We are Delighted to Present
TMCF’s 36th Anniversary Gala:
Leaders & Legends

As we enter our 36th year, Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) returns to the city we call home, Washington, DC.  Here TMCF is in the center of a moment in time that is changing decades-long decisions, and the educational possibilities of deserving students throughout the world.  It is a paradigm shift, and while uncertain at times, TMCF holds steadfast to its mission of uplifting the HBCU community. We desire to not only protect HBCUs with our advocacy, but to propel their students with knowledge and experiences that supports the next generation of leaders.

TMCF is the nation’s largest organization exclusively representing the Black College Community. TMCF member-schools include the publicly supported Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs), Historically Black Community Colleges (HBCCs) and Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs) across the country and are a critical source of higher education for all students.  TMCF is in the business of changing lives.  We do this by providing professional and leadership development; scholarships to reduce or eliminate crippling student loan debt; capacity building opportunities and resources for our schools; and supporting our partners talent sourcing goals by introducing them to incredible HBCU talent.

This gala will celebrate TMCF’s 36-year legacy by honoring leaders who fulfill our vision of ‘Changing the world…one leader at a time.’ We will present the Educator of the Year award in addition to the Breaking Barriers Award and CEO of the Year Award.  As in past years the gala is at the end of the annual Leadership Institute and serves as a perfect event to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of the over 400 participating HBCU students, all of whom will attend the gala.

All of us at TMCF are dedicated to the work we do every day.  However, none of our success would be possible without the unwavering commitment of partners and donors who support our ability to deliver on the dreams of HBCU students.  Your participation provides the opportunity for YOU to support TMCF’s critical mission while positioning your brand as one of a select group of companies supporting the HBCU Community.

Know that your support is vital to TMCFs mission and its impact on HBCU students.  Please consider a generous investment as we celebrate TMCFs wonderful students and Supreme Court Justice Marshall’s monumental legacy of social justice and education, in addition to the life-changing work we do every day!

God Bless,

Chairman of the Board
